Outer Banks Surf Trip - July 27th to August 2nd
Two Benefit Concerts - NSSIA Instructor Certification Class - GSN Hatteras Island Surf Film Music Festival

Needed to get a lot of things done this trip. Global Surf Network waxs sponsoring a couple of fundraising concerts plus hosting the Hattares Island Surf Film/Music Festival. I also was invited down by Robert Farmer and Outer Banks Boarding Company to teach the National Surf Schools and Instructors Association instructor certification class.

Saturday night was a benefit concert for the Croatoan Archaeology Society at the Pit in Naggs Head. I didn't know the first colonists settled in this area.

Scott authored the book "Croatoan: Birthplace of America
This is a good read about where it all started.

Met Blues Legend Mo Jo Collins at the Concert

Next up was the NSSIA Instructor Certification Class at Jennettee's Pier in Naggs Head. What a great place for a class.

The Classroom

During a break I showed them my Dale Velzy shaping equipment

The NSSIA booth the next day.

The evening after the class I attended a Life Rolls on benefit concert
at the Port of Call in Kill Devil Hills.

Finally the day of the Hatteras Island Surf Film Music Festival Concert in Waves arrived. I had two booths, one for NSSIA and ond for Wave Trek Surfboards. My Dale Velzy's shaping equipment exhibition was spread in both.

I was interviewed by Mike Carter on the local radio station.

This kid will be the next Kelly Slater of the music world.
His name is Grant Austin Taylor. Very impressive.
