After 23 years plus many before I moved here
I kicked off my final Snake's Luau September 3rd at 4 pm with a little historyu of the luau's over
the years
Besides the regular 60s and 70s boards
I displayed a Yancy Spencer InnerLight
and a Chris Hawk Freedom Hawk
Star of the show was a never ridden Dale Velzy
The Chris Hawk, a Wave Trek Balsa, and an Aliah shaped by Dave Sobel
Besides photos, paintings, and other artworks,
the Art Show held in the NSSIA offices featured a skateboard display

Mary was the hula hoop star
Stacey also looked good
Scott helped early and had fun
Kevin Buff's Band did their usual great job
Firends showed up all day and late into the evening
The Wave Trek shop with my Velzy equipment display was open all day
2x High School State Wrestling Champ Sonny Nucci was inducted into the SMWC Hall of Fame

When the regular band took a break the young guns took over
At dusk the traditional token board sacrafice on the artifical beach
was followed by fireworks
Kids enjoyed the fun stuff
The bonfire on the beach after dark was a popular spot
The little partiers had a great time
