My Sad Christmas Trip
Huntington Beach December - January Trip

I had a sad visit to Huntington Beach this December. My mother was in hospice and passed away just before Christmas.
After I visited with a few friends and stayed until leaving for Surf EXPO in January.

My mother Helen was a great lady known to many of my friends in the HB surfing community, particularly the surfing museum over the years.
She will be missed.

Met the current Miss Huntington Beach and one of her court during the annual Pier Splash.

Had a chance to hit some tennis balls with my old doubles partner Vic Galich.

Mike and Jeff were two of the HB High School Surf Team members.

Neishi was another of my HB High School Surf Team members when I was the coach.

Always have time for visitors at the museum.

This get together with the HB Longboard Crew and the Wahine Surf Club of HB for a newspaper photo was fun.

Some old friends at the Longboard Crew photo shoot.

When cleaning out my mom's things I found this.

My picture was on the front page of the Daily Pilot
Early 1970s at the Pier.

Found another picture from the 1970s, my brother-in-law, Mike Bysee.
